Charlotte 4 Months

Wow! You have grown so much! You are such a happy girl. When you see us and we talk to you, you immediately start grinning. You have become ticklish and have been giggling and laughing. It is the best sound I have ever heard. Your laughs are contagious. The only time you aren't happy is in the evening when you are tired & hungry at the same time. Then you scream & cry, but are soothed by nursing and fall right asleep.
You have been sleeping well at night. We have been working on bedtime and are slowly getting a routine for you. Between 6-7pm we give you a bath (every other night) and then get pajamas & night time diaper on, read a book (if you're in a good mood) and then nurse. Then I lay you in bed next to me and you sleep til around 10. Then I nurse you again, you fall asleep, and I put you in your bed next to ours. Then you sleep through the night waking once to eat, usually around 2 am. Then at 6am I wake up and nurse you, put you in bed next to your daddy, and then I get ready for work. Then at 7:45 I get you ready for the day, nurse you, and then daddy gets you in your car seat and walks us to the car. He's been great at helping in the morning.
During the day at school you are usually very happy, talkative and playful. I go into your room every 2 hours and nurse you. We sit on the floor in front of your crib for a little privacy. It's been a great way to see you throughout the day so I don't miss you as much.
You are working hard at rolling over. You get to your side and get your legs rolled, but haven't figure out how to get your head and arms rolled over. You are enjoying tummy time more now so I think you'll be rolling over very soon! Then maybe your hair will grow back! You have rubbed off almost all our hair on the back of your head.
You celebrated your first Halloween by dressing as a cupcake at school (I was a chef) and a mummy at a Halloween wedding!
These are the things that make you happy: getting a bath, being sung too (Twinkle Twinkle, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Apples and Bananas, and Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee), bouncing, and talking to daddy. You have also been doing a panting thing that makes us laugh. You now enjoy playing with toys. You are able to pick them up, shake them, hold them, and move them between hands. You really like your Taggies elephant stuffed animal, turtle soft toy, and Orbee ball. At school you like shaking the keys. You also drool on everything and like/suck on toys. Lately you like holding onto a blanket while resting. You're very chatty and enjoy squealing. You now really suck on your fingers more than you enjoy the pacifier. The pacifier still helps you fall asleep though.

Things you do not like: diaper changes, lotion, getting dressed, getting snot/boogers out of your nose, and being hungry.
You currently wear 3-6 month/6 month closing. Some 3 month still fits and some 6 month is too big.

We are really looking forward to the holidays with you!
