Happy 3 months! This past month went way to fast. I feel like I was just writing your 2 month post! Here's your big changes:
You still love to talk, coo, and babble. You're very smiley and happy most of the time. You want to laugh and have gotten a few single little laughs out. The first one at your dad. Pretty soon I think you'll really be laughing. You love to be sung to. Your favorites include: Twinkle Twinkle, Apples & Bananas and Itsy bitsy spider. You mimic us and sing back with a huge grin.
You are really into your hands. You now reach for things and occasionally grab onto them. You really like to put your hands in your mouth. You're starting to become drooly. You also discovered your feet and stare at them with much focus and fascination. You also like to try and suck on them but can't reach and get frustrated.
You like to sit up and stand, with our assistance of course. You get very serious and focused while standing. You really work those leg muscles!
You are working on rolling over. You can get to your side from your back, but not to your stomach yet.
You have been sleeping well at night. You normally fall asleep between 9- 10pm, wake once to eat and then get up around 6am to eat. Then you take little naps throughout the day.
Breastfeeding continues to go well, yay! Breastfeeding was super important to me while pregnant with you. I did a ton of research and was really hoping to exclusively breastfeed you. You eat every two hours and nurse for about 20 minutes.
The biggest change recently is my maternity leave ended. On October 5th I had to return to work. It was incredibly emotional and difficult for me to leave you. I spent the whole weekend prior a an emotional crying wreck. You are in the beach cottage infant room at The Young School. Ms. Amanda is your teacher. I am a preschool director so I am just across the building. Even though I am right there and can see you anytime I want it is so hard not to be the one with you all day. I wish I could stay come with you full time. Your first day (and mine) went so well though. Your daddy and I went to school to drop you off. He helped get all your things put away and then he helped me. I was crying and so sad. He felt sad leaving you too. It was hard. However, you were happy all day and seem to really like it! This made us so relieved. You come home super tired from your big day of learning!
You now weigh pounds (approximately since I weighed you at home) and are starting to wear 3-6 month clothes.
You're daddy and I are crazy about you and are so glad you are with us.
